About This Training
In response to global climate issues, many companies are interested in exploring ways to reduce their carbon footprint by reducing energy use and embracing sustainable business practices. While some may have dedicated Environmental and Social Governance efforts well underway, others may just be starting down the path and not clear on how to get started. Perhaps one of the most common starting points is through energy management which has decades of historical evidence showing both the environmental and financial benefits that accrue to companies who manage energy effectively.
This session will provide building owners, facility/property managers and other interested parties an overview of how to manage existing buildings more efficiently and will address such topics as energy benchmarking, energy auditing, energy efficiency measures (EEMs), Strategic Energy Management (SEM), energy procurement, demand response (DR), distributed energy resources (DERs), building commissioning / retrocommissioning and operations & maintenance (O&M).
