We are an accredited Accelerator of the Race to Zero, enhancing net zero credibility and accelerating membership
Led by the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions, the Race To Zero mobilizes non-state actors (businesses, cities, regions, financial, healthcare and educational institutions) to commit to robust net zero targets and collectively halve global emissions by 2030.
The objective is to dramatically accelerate momentum toward a decarbonized economy, turbocharge systems transformation across sectors, and provide confidence for political leaders to transform the groundswell of voluntary action into principles for the global economy. Race to Zero thus sends a resounding signal to national governments that non-state actors are united in creating a zero carbon, inclusive and resilient world.
To date, Race to Zero has rallied more than 16,000 members, who are committed to halving emissions by 2030. This includes over 10,000 companies who have committed to robust, net zero criteria across the Race to Zero ‘5 Ps’: Pledge, Plan, Proceed, Publish and Persuade.
The campaign works with 25 net zero initiatives – Partners – who are the funnels which individual members join the Race. The campaign is supported by over 30 Accelerators, who enhance global uptake on net zero and accelerate membership. Through radical collaboration, we are committed to a healthier, fairer, zero carbon world.
